In his work of art, the featured pays tribute to the most popular means of transport in small towns and cities, especially in the rural areas in Mindanao.

Carińo was not able to personally attend the turn-over program but gave his message through a video presentation.

We should uphold, we should celebrate the arts kung meron tayong opportunity.  So this is an opportunity given by the government. The arts month celebration is national and is led by the premier cultural arm of the government, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts or NCCA”, said Carińo.

Everywhere in the Philippines, we see art including this in Midsayap. I was so happy when I was informed that once more, that the tricycles will be put at the centerstage as an art piece”, added Carińo.

He also thanked Mayor Romeo D. Arańa through the Midsayap Tourism, the Midsayap Culture & Arts Council and the SCC-CMA for the partnership to remount the MinTODA Art Project in Midsayap for the arts month.

It can be recalled that Carińo’s MinTODA was part of the Mindanao Art Fair 2020, the biggest art fair in Mindanao, held in Davao City.

In keeping with Mindanao Art Fair’s theme “Living Art in a New Landscape, MinTODA was seen in the cities of Tagum, Pagadian, Koronadal, General Santos and Davao, and in the Municipality Midsayap literally bringing the said art fair around, just like what trikes are there for.
