As the Philippine Government continues to implement the provision of potable water supply, the Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) Program was implemented in various barangays in Region XII. 

According to the website of DILG Regional Office XII, Midsayap achieved a 100% accomplishment rate of the 2019 SALINTUBIG Projects implemented in nine (9) barangays of Midsayap, to wit; Damatulan, Kadigasan, Kimagango, Kiwanan, Olandang, Palongoguen, Patindeguen, Tumbras, and Malamote.  

The program aims to provide water systems to waterless communities through financial assistance, along with improving the capacities of local government units and their water service providers in managing water supply systems in a sustainable manner through capacity development activities. 

The DILG is the lead executing agency responsible for the provision of grant financing and capacity development to increase access to water and sanitation services and improve capacities of the Local Government Units and Water Service Providers in the planning, implementation, and management of water supply facilities in a sustainable manner. 

Sanggunian’s Continued Support to Water System Projects in Various Barangays

It can be remembered that the Sangguniang Bayan of Midsayap passed SB Resolution No. 2017-106 dated July 19, 2017 authorizing Mayor Romeo D. Arańa to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the DILG Regional Office XII for the implementation of SALINTUBIG Project in ten barangays of Midsayap, to wit; Anonang, Arizona (Sitio Bacolod), Sadaan (Purok Two Lovers), Central Bulanan, Upper Bulanan, Bagumba, Nabalawag, Mudseng, San Pedro, and Kimagango (Purok Rosas). 

Moreover, through the passage of legislative actions approving the Annual Investment Program (AIP) for 2019 and the Annual Budget 2019, water systems in various barangays remain to be one of the priority projects of Midsayap LGU under the leadership of Mayor Arańa. 

According to the Sayap Magazine: The Annual Governance Report of the Municipality of Midsayap published in March 2020, the Office of the Municipal Engineer headed by Engr. Antonio P. Relles. Jr. reported the different potable water systems projects in various barangays in Midsayap, to wit;
